Theme Parks
Chessington World of Adventures
Chessington is THE theme park for families looking to
share an adventure.
Years ago, Chessington had a zoo. Then it had a theme park tacked on. Now, the zoo merits only a quick trip round as starter to the ever-expanding main course where new and bigger rides turn up every holiday season.
With over 90% of rides and attractions for under 12s, plus a host of exciting rides for the more thrill seeking Adventurers such as the spin-sational Dragon's Fury and the fang-tastic Vampire coasters, Chessington promises a hassle free, action packed family day out everyone will want to share.
Kids Shows
The Blue Man Group
After years of considerable success in the United States,
Blue Man Group has finally reached London. The trio of
bald men painted in blue have brought their unusual mix of
theatre, rock concert and visual euphoria to the New
London Theatre to enthral a new crowd.
Museums and Attractions
The Natural History Museum
Walking into this wonderful museum's cavernous hall that
houses a huge Brontosaurus fossil is one of the standout
memories of many a childhood, and just a corridor away
there's the only slightly less inspiring thrill of the
Blue Whale room.
London Zoo
In the heart of London, on the
north side of Regent’s Park, is London Zoo.
When the Zoo opened in 1828 it housed a collection of exotic animals that were studied by eminent scientists of the day. Only later, in 1847, did the Zoo open its doors to the public, and, from then on it became the most famous zoo in the world. Among many world firsts, the Zoo opened the first reptile house (1849), the first public aquarium (1853), insect house (1881) and children’s zoo (1938).
